In order for to receive or renew you Commercial Drivers License (CDL), a physical needs to be performed by a registered Medical Examiner. Upon Completion of your DOT Physical, an Medical Examination Certificate (MEC) will be issued and registered. A copy of your MEC must be present whenever operating a commercial vehicle.
